As the exclusive platform provider to a growing network of industry partners, including leading packagers, luxury concierge services, tour operators, travel management companies, corporate intranets, agency networks and other professional sellers of travel, HVN unlocks valuable new opportunities for real estate owners, property managers, and travel professionals.

HVN created a B2B(2C) marketplace for short- and long-term bookings of professionally managed residences worldwide for business and leisure travel.

The platform connects professional property managers with travellers through their preferred, trusted private channels (trip designers, travel agencies). The target customers are the employees of Fortune 500 firms who choose HVN as their trusted source of business and leisure accommodations.

As a result of the integration, travellers receive safe and high-quality service that their travel agents can rely on. At the same time, property managers boost occupancy and revenues due to an expanded travel base.

Market

Travellers’ increased demand for short-term rentals and unique accommodation experiences, along with the requirement for high quality and safety standards, led to the need for the professionalization of this category.

With the emergence of peer-to-peer short-term rental services (such as Airbnb), users have discovered the possibility of unique living experiences. Around 23% of business travellers and 33% of leisure travellers prefer short-term rentals over hotels, with the demand for such accommodation options increasing to 3.5 times higher than for hotels.

However, tourists and their travel agents face two critical problems inherent in renting from private individuals: the lack of quality and safety guarantees. Quite often, the picture and description in the listing can differ significantly from the actual conditions due to no external control and standards. Additionally, in 2021 Bloomberg released an article discrediting Airbnb's safety issues and how the company prevents PR disasters.

Hotels, in turn, guarantee high levels of service and safety. However, they offer standardized options, typically represented by similar rooms in multi-unit properties with limited space and equipment.

In this regard, there is a need for professional and reliable hospitality operators with personalized offerings in the short-term rental category.
